7th International Workshop on Numerical Modelling of High Temperature Superconductors

22-23 Jun 2021
Faculté des Sciences et Technologies, Campus Aiguillettes BP 70239, 54 506 Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy, France - Nancy (Virtual) (France)

The research and development of modelling tools and approaches is a fundamental subject in applied superconductivity. High Temperature Superconducting (HTS) materials pose complex challenges in the design and prediction of device behaviour due to their thermal and electromagnetic dependence and non-linearities, hysteresis, anisotropy, high wire aspect ratio and interaction with other functional materials. The main topics of the workshop are therefore the modelling of low-frequency electromagnetic properties, thermal and quench evolution, and device behaviour in an electric network. The HTS Modeling Workshop aims to bring together researchers specializing in physics, mathematics, and electrical engineering applied to new and existing computational methods, the development of modeling tools, the advanced use of simulation software and the design of superconductivity applications in the industrial environment. The workshop format facilitates discussion among researchers, which is necessary to achieve their objectives.
