3rd Edition of the international conference on Tourism and innovation

26-28 Nov 2021
Ecole Nationale de Commerce et de gestion - Marrakech (Morocco)
Since March 2019, the world has been turned upside down by the COVID19 pandemic. The image of planes pinned to the ground, the closure of borders and generalised lockdowns have signaled the end of tourism.More than a year later, states are still reluctant to open up to tourists. They fear new waves and the possibilities of large contaminations. However, they find themselves in the obligation to give in and to live with the new waves, because of the economic and social negative effects. The world is changing, and the aspects related to tourism are changing with it.Indeed, the tourismcrisiscaused by the pandemic pushes us to review the entire tourism system as much as the aspects related to how the recovery will be made and the changes that this crisis will bring. Tourism is an economic sector that has experienced the greatest growth. It is also the one that has been most affected by the pandemic.Anchored in human practices, tourism is a social fact that is undergoing major changes. The volume of innovations intended for it is considerable. In this context, the resilience of the sector raises several questions related to the way in which it is rethought and decided.Undergoing a great upheaval thanks to the advent of new technologies and health crises, tourism is questioned, in thisconference, from the angle of innovation in its different facets (health, economic, social, technical, technological, academic, organizational, administrative, environmental, etc.).Thisconferenceis an open debate, for all disciplines, to discuss the problems, solutions and the resilience and the innovation capacity of the sector and the actors, to face these challenges. It is open to academics researches and professional reflexions. It is an invitation to deepen the reflection in the field of innovation related to tourism by theoretical as well as practical contributions.
