14th International Congress on the Biology of Fish

29 juin-2 juil. 2020
The Physiology Section promotes excellence in the science of fish physiology through improved communication between researchers and other professionals who need the most up-to-date information on physiological processes, tools, and techniques. The Section publishes a newsletter, and conducts symposia and workshops to disseminate the results of basic and applied research on fish physiology to the scientific and professional community, resource users, and the general public. Every two years the Physiology Section of the American Fisheries Society hosts a meeting – The International Congress on the Biology of Fish – to exchange knowledge and findings in the many areas of fish research. The first meeting was in 1996 in Vancouver, Canada. Since then, the ICBF has become a well-established event for the international fish physiology community. It is held alternatively in cities in the Americas or Europe, and has a dedicated following from all over the world. In particular, the congress has a number of recurrent themed scientific sessions, organised by acknowledged international researchers that draw scientists back every two years. ICBF2020 in Montpellier is the 14th Congress and is already the focus of much attention in the international fish physiology community.
