School on UV and X-ray spectroscopies of correlated electron systems
1-12 sept. 2014
Ecole de Physique des Houches Route de la Côte des Chavants 74310 Les Houches - Les Houches (France)
Strong electron correlations lead to a rich variety of exotic states of matter. The most direct approach to understand these systems is to study their microscopic electronic structure. This school, addressed to graduate students and young researchers, will introduce the recent experimental and theoretical developments in ultra-violet and X-ray spectroscopies, from their basic unifying principles to their applications in the study of correlated electron systems.
