4th International Symposium of Transport Simulation - ISTS

1-4 juin 2014
Convention Centre (Palais des Congrès) - :: Ajaccio, Corsica (France)

Following the success of the previous editions of both the International Sympsia of Transport Simulation (ISTS) and the International Workshop on Traffic Data Collection and its Standardisation (IWTDCS), ISTS 2014 and IWTCDS'14 aim to gather the world's transportation and traffic academics and practitioners, and those who are interested in contributing to or gaining a deeper understanding of the transport simulation field. During the three-day conference plenary sessions featuring high level speakers and interactive breakout sessions will take place at the Conference Centre of Ajaccio (Corsica, France), where participants will have the opportunity to mingle with those at the forefront of data collection and standardisation, Transport simulation thought, practice, and implementation as well as exchange experience and best practices. This event will stress scientific challenges and issues raised by new theoretical development in the ttransport fields as well as new advances in Mobility Data collection and smart processing tools. Accepted papers will be printed in the conference proceedings published by Elsevier Science in the open-access Procedia of Social and Behavioral Sciences series (on-line). Procedia of Social and Behavioral Sciences series is hosted on www.Elsevier.com and on Elsevier content platform ScienceDirect (www.sciencedirect.com), and will be freely available worldwide. All papers in Procedia will contain linked references and citable DOI numbers. Selected papers will be invited for publication in special issue of an international journal of the transportation field. The ISTS'14 and IWTCDS'14 is organised by the Transport and Traffic Engineering Laboratory (LICIT), a joint Research Centre of ENTPE (www.entpe.fr) and IFSTTAR (www.ifsttar.fr). It will be held in the beautiful French Mediterranean Island of Corsica and more precisely in the lively, elegant town of Ajaccio. Ajaccio is linked to the history of the Bonaparte Family and is the birthplace of Napoleon in 1769.
