Workshop on Geometric Computation for Computer Vision

29 oct. 2013
 - Guanajuato (Mexique)

The workshop will be co-organized by Hanno Ackermann (Leibniz University Hannover), Yukiko Kenmochi (LIGM, CNRS) and Yasuyuki Sugaya (Toyohashi University of Technology) in conjunction with the 6th Pacific-Rim Symposium on Image and Video Technology (PSIVT 2013), which will be held in Guanajuato, Mexico, from October 28th to November 1st, 2013, on the occasion of the retirement of Professor Kenichi Kanatani. To honor his contributions to the scientific community, this event will focus on inferring the parameters of geometric structures within images or scenes which is one of the key aspects in computer vision. The topics particularly addressed by this workshop include general optimization of such problems and accurate parameter estimation in the presence of noisy data. The workshop intends to bring together researchers from these fields, encourage new ideas, discussions and theoretical or practical contributions.
