1st French/German Joint Symposium on Materials for Catalysis and Energy Applications

10-11 oct. 2019
Faculté d'Orsay - ORSAY (France)

With the objective to learn from each other, to accelerate the advancement of science and technology, and to encourage the development of scientific collaborations, the 2MIB (Molecules, Materials, Instrumentation and Biosystems) doctoral school of Paris-Saclay University and the RECHARGE doctoral school of the Max-Planck Institute of Chemical Energy Conversion, decided to organize a French-German joint symposium on materials for energy and applications. This symposium is open to the PhD students of the two doctoral schools and early career researchers of the related institutions, but not exclusively: students from other doctoral schools and/or other countries interested by the topics under discussion can also apply to participate in the symposium. The selection of PhD students and early career researchers who apply outside the doctoral schools will be done based on the quality and relevance of the submitted abstracts. This 2-day event will give the opportunity to contributors and participants to present and share their research work via either oral communications or poster presentations, and to engage themselves in networking activities. The symposium will focus on four complementary topics: Molecular theory and spectroscopy in catalysis Synthesis, characterization and diagnostics Photo/electrochemistry Batteries
