Journées Traitement de l'image
24-25 nov. 2011
F.R.U.M.A.M. - Fr 2291 CNRS, Université de Provence, 3 place Victor Hugo, Marseille - Marseille (France)
Due to the development of image acquisition systems, image has become a priviledge means of observation and experimentation in many areas such as Living, Health, Physics, or Space. As the image production increases and diversifies, image providers and users face withnew issuesincluding the analysis and interpretation of large amounts of data. Emerging in this context, research in Image Processing is particularly active. While providing specific solutions to applications, it leads to original theoretical developments in more traditional areas of mathematics. This meeting aims to report advances in mathematical image processing in the field of optimization and statistics. The speakers will present new models and techniques dealing with issues as various as image and surface registration, texture analysis, image restoration, 3D reconstruction and other inverse problems. The focus will be on both the theory and applications in the field of medical imaging and astronomy.
