“Sustainable economics within the new culture of development” Organized in the framework of the European Network of Territorial Intelligence Liège (Belgium), September 12-14 th 2011 www.territorial-intelligence.eu/liege2011/ The international conference, Liège 2011, on the theme of “Sustainable economics within the new culture of development” can be defined as an appointment of ENTI, a place to discuss, elaborate, share and disseminate knowledge and experiences of territorial intelligence. Locally, this conference is supported by SPI + (Development Agency for the Province of Liege) and driven by a convergence of an opportunity, a desire and a request. An opportunity: SPI+'s 50th anniversary A desire: The Council of economic development wants to evolve towards a more integrated approach of its territory A request from the SPI+: review its 3 themes: - Territory (its perimeter = 1 province, area of 84 communes and 1M people), - Services for their clients and partners, public or private - Infrastructures for enterprises and collectivities
